Typing, Cutting, Rearranging, Memorizing....

Yes siree! It is speech season. Rayni and I are competing in duo this year at the Puget Sound tournament. We found a piece which I really like. Typed it up (with the parts we wanted it turned out to be 11 pages). It got finished last night I was just about....make that actually was jumping up and down for how happy I was! Then we worked on cutting and its down to seven pages. Although we do still have quite a bit we need to cut, I'm HAPPY!

I am just soooo glad to make progress. It is an amazing thing to accomplish tasks!

Have an Awesome Valentines Day!!!!!!!

Hello There!

Hey Everyone!
I haven't posted much on this blog because it was more of a mess around and experiment blog that I could use. However, I've done a bit of lab testing and now I'm going to turn it into my own little....well, blog!

Tonight our Apologetics club is meeting so I'm making a no bake bar to take. I found the recipe on the "All Recipes" website. Here is the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Directions

  1. Grease a 9x9 inch square pan.
  2. Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla. Mix in the oats. Cook over low heat 2 to 3 minutes, or until ingredients are well blended. Press half of mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Reserve the other half for topping.
  3. Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a small heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture over the crust in the pan, and spread evenly with a knife or the back of a spoon.
  4. Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer, pressing in gently. Cover, and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Bring to room temperature before cutting into bars.

Its my first time making them and right now I'm waiting to get chocolate chips (as a hint its always good to make sure you have all the ingredients before you jump into a recipe....I unfortunately did not follow it this time) so we'll see how they turn out. Anyway, I'm off for now so I'll hopefully see you next time I post.

p.s. As you can see I redesigned the blog a wee bit. What do you all think?
